Indiana Legislator Breakfast A Success

Central Indiana Clean Cities Alliance and South Shore Clean Cities Coalitions hosted the Fourth Annual Indiana Legislator Breakfast at the Indiana State Capitol Building on January 19, 2007.
This annual event is designed to educate state legislators and governmental decision makers on various alternative fuels and related technologies available and in use around Indiana. The goal is to provide legislation with accurate and current information on these technologies. When bills are presented for endorsement, legislation knows they have a trusted source in the Indiana Clean Cities Coalitions to call on for additional information or verification.
A continental breakfast was served from 8-11 am . Over 80 Indiana legislators and aides attended the event. Governor Mitch Daniels and Lt. Governor Becky Skillman stopped by the event and visited with several vendors.
The following CICCA members displayed information on their products at the event.
- Arvin Meritor
- American Lung Association of Indiana
- Citizens Gas & Coke Utility
- Countrymark Cooperative
- Cummins Crosspoint
- Dixie Chopper Propane Mowers
- General Motors Corporation
- Indiana Soybean Alliance
- Indiana Propane Gas Association
- South Shore Clean Cities
For use as a resource guide, an e-mail containing two pages of web links and website addresses was sent to all 150 Indiana Representatives the day after the breakfast. The information was broken down by fuel and technology type. By sending the information via e-mail, it greatly reduced the amount of hard copies circulated, further conserving our natural resources.
