School Transportation Association of Indiana Conference

On April 20, 2006, for the third year in a row, Kellie Walsh was invited to give two workshops at the School Transportation Association of Indiana Annual Conference. (STAI) This association boasts a membership of over 90% of the schools in Indiana and is attended by transportation directors for the various schools.
Over 40 transportation managers and directors attended Kellie's Workshop where she discussed the alternative fuel and related technologies options available to school buses.
Along with these fuels and technologies, Kellie highlighted Zionsville School Corporation and Judy Foreman, their Transportation Manager and CICCA Member, for their implementation of the No Idle Policy the Association adopted, in partnership with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management in 2004. By adopting this policy, Zionsville School Corporation realized a fuel savings of almost $12,000 in 2005.
